As the Manager of Community Partnerships, Education and Training at the Center for Health Equity (CHE), I am involved in all initiatives of the Center. My primary focus is coordinating health education and screening services in the African American barbershops involved in the Center's HAIR (Health Advocates in Reach) Program. I joined CHE in 2003 as Western Pennsylvania Partnership Program Coordinator for the NCI Cancer Information Service (CIS) and provided training and technical assistance on NCI evidence-based programs and tools to assist cancer coalitions in building their capacity to support underserved populations in the region. I am interested in the impact of social determinants of health on cancer health disparities and disparties in general and in educating communities about the importance of clinical trials.
